Tim is married to his soulmate Esther, and they have three boys named Jonathan, Joel, and Michael. As a family, they have been involved in some form of pioneering and pastoring\u00a0with the Baptists, YWAM,\u00a0and the Vineyard,\u00a0since 1987. Tim has helped plant churches and coach leaders in Canada, Australia, Asia, and Norway.\u00a0\u00a0A few years ago, Tim helped\u00a0start Global Hope Society.\u00a0 The\u00a0vision for\u00a0GHS was to\u00a0help Canadians partner with friends and\u00a0faith communities overseas\u00a0in the\u00a0mobilizing of\u00a0micro-businesses,\u00a0church planting,\u00a0and other\u00a0initiatives\u00a0that\u00a0go against the current of\u00a0poverty and injustice\u00a0that impacts especially\u00a0women and children.\u00a0\u00a0In 2006, Tim graduated with a Masters degree from St. Stephen’s University. His thesis was entitled, “The Divine Dance: How to Form Healthy Missional Communities in a Postmodern Culture.”<\/em><\/div>\n
One of Tim’s core values is to\u00a0be a practitioner and lifelong learner\u00a0who\u00a0tests his\u00a0theories and theology\u00a0in the crucible of real life.\u00a0\u00a0Thus\u00a0Tim\u00a0and\u00a0a few\u00a0good\u00a0friends have\u00a0just recently\u00a0embarked\u00a0on an adventure of\u00a0living ‘deeper’ community and incarnational mission\u00a0through a\u00a0network of simple\u00a0faith communities in Calgary and the surrounding towns,\u00a0called Mosaic. \u00a0As is evident from above, Tim loves starting new things,\u00a0though he\u00a0has a few scars to show for it.<\/div>\n

The Delight Found in Overcoming<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Many of these catalytic ventures have come out of \u00a0Tim’s journey of following a hunch or nudge, stepping out with knees a-knocking, falling down, and getting up over and over again.\u00a0Experiencing the joy of pioneering\u00a0and the pain of failure both\u00a0in his own\u00a0journey and\u00a0in the lives of those he has coached\u00a0has given Tim a mixture of compassion and wisdom in his coaching.\u00a0 He\u00a0loves the simple yet profound\u00a0children’s story of the little engine that could, and believes that\u00a0it is a great example of how encouragement\u00a0and a little bit of faith can help us get over the mountains in our lives.\u00a0Tim’s latest endeavour, Quest For Life Coaching, <\/em>was born out of\u00a0his desire to\u00a0coach\u00a0individuals, married couples, teams, and faith communities! In July of 2011, Tim and his oldest son Jon made it to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa which is over 19,000ft!<\/span><\/div>\n

Pure Joy<\/p><\/div>\n

Tim’s hobbies include coaching his son Michael’s soccer team, and watching or playing most sports, yes, even cricket. To detox from the city, Tim loves to hike, hunt, and fish with his sons or good friends. International movies and cuisine, great music of any genre, a freshly brewed Americano, or fine glass of red wine are some of the finer things of life Tim enjoys, especially when he can share these experiences with his wife on a date! When possible, Tim may be found at a local coffee shop reading a book on leadership, theology, or a historical novel.<\/p>\n
